Blogger is useful for communication in large community because of features, for example the easy access- you don’t need to be in school to do your work- the up to date software- allowing you to change the background and aps- you can do your work anywhere and you can view anyone’s work so you don’t need a teacher to help you all the time because you can get a good example and the comments allow you to see what’s been done right or wrong, it also saves your work ones published.

However blogger does have some common issues, for example bullying - which can be solved be simply reporting- , virus – which can be removed through Microsoft essentials- impropriate blogs- which can also be removed and you can even adjust who can view your work-and copying work- which can be avoided by changing who can view your work. you can also keep work safe by never leaving a machine logged in, avoiding people going on the private things. use a stronger password, although simple its effective predictable password may be the cause of a lot of social networking problems. Never open unknown emails because it more than likely to be spam, fishing (fake bank) or viruses. never disclose passwords or pin numbers in emails because it makes you more likely to be scammed. never accept friend request from unknown people, although this speaks for itself people still don't listen, however the consequences can be  things like pedophilia. never click on links unless you know what the link is because they are usually spam and viruses.

Why I think that posterous is good for

Schools

It’s good for schools because everyone can make it

Posterous is easy to access, everyone can see what you've done and comment and help you improve your work. It’s easy to make and makes teachers lives easier because you can access it anywhere with internet. It’s good for schools because everyone can access it. You can customize the back rounds; you can even get it on your iPod! All of these features make posterous perfect for schools, you won’t be off task because there is always something to do. You can upload things at home so you don’t need a memory stick, you don’t need paper you will have you work on you where ever you go which means you can do work at home. It’s more efficient quick and easy.

However being on the internet has dangers, like bullying, and with the internet when you send something you cant get it back so if you send the wrong thing to the wrong person you cant stop it. When you’re online there are a lot of distractions, like facebook and all the other advertisements on the internet.  Plus you can lose connection at any time and internet can be slow.

keyloggers is a type of virus which can see what your typing and steal the information, such as bank details etc. Viruses are usually in pop ups and in some advertisements, to avoid keyloggers, viruses, and personal detail stolen  you can download 'Microsoft security essentials' free which will protect you from these issues.

personal details/ security company info are sometimes put onto websites however you need to make sure you don't reveal too much. for example if you tell people on a social networking site when your going holiday because you put yourself in risk. 

data loss/ theft to avoid this you can back your work up with a hard drive.

profile stalking  to avoid this only accept people you know and report any strange activity.
